SP Brewery Upgrade
Papua New Guinea
ESC was met with the challenge of fabricating a pre-engineered building structure for the expansion upgrade of a brewery in Papua New Guinea. Time and ease of assembly were paramount in the project success, with minimal disruption to brewery operations.
SP Brewery has been producing some of the best beers in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea and overseas for over 60 years. However, the brewery infrastructure was dated and required significant upgrades.
One of the main upgrades included the building works of the new Brewhouse (on the right). A prefabricated steel building design was chosen due to its superior site erection time and minimal disruption to company operations.
ESC was awarded the scope of work by Oceania Steel Ltd to fabricate and supply all pre-fabricated steel components.
Components were shot blasted and coated with 175 microns DFT of Akzo Nobel International paint. Packing method and specially fabricated racks were made to prevent damages especially to critical parts of the prefabricated components.
